১৩০০ বছরের মসজিদ। উপমহাদেশের পুরাতন মসজিদগুলির মধ্যে অন্যতম।যতদূর সম্ভব বিশ্বের একমাত্র মসজিদ যার রুখ জেরুজালেম(Baitul Mukaddas rukh) দিকে, মক্কার দিকে নয়। Dilli Sultanate ফেবু পাতায় হুসেন আফসার লিখছেন, প্রফেট প্রথম দিকে জেরুজালেমের দিকেই মুখ করে কাবিলা দিতেন। পরে প্রত্যাদেশ পেয়ে মক্কার দিকে মুখ করেন। এই মসজিদে সব থেকে পুরোনো আরবি অক্ষর খোদিত আছে।
৭প্তম শতে প্রথম আরব ব্যবসায়ীরা গোঘায় ব্যবসা করতে আসেন। তাঁরাই এই মসজিদটা তৈরি করেন। স্থানীয়ভাবে এই মসজিদটার নাম বারোয়াদা বা জুনি মসজদ। এই মসজিদটির বর্তমানে রক্ষণাবেক্ষণ করেন বারোয়াদা জামাত।

May be a only Masjid on the face of earth whose Rukh is Jerusalem (Baitul Mukaddas rukh) @. around 1300 years old.
The first Arab traders landed at Ghogha, (Bhavangar, Gujrat India) around the early 7th century & built a masjid here. This was the time when Qibla direction was Jerusalem instead of Mecca. For a brief period of 16 to 17 months, between 622 and 624 A.D., after Hijrat2 Medina, the Prophet (S A W) & believers faced Jerusalem while offering Namaaz. This ancient masjid, locally known as the Baarwaada Masjid or Juni Masjid, was built during this period & is one of the oldest masjid in India.
Later the Prophet (S A W) received Wahi (Revelation) commanding him 2change the orientation point from Jerusalem in the north 2Mecca in the south. This masjid, there4, predates all the other masjids in India whose mehrab face Mecca. This ancient masjid also bears the oldest Arabic inscriptions in India. & today the masjid is under the care of Barwaada Jammat.
