World’ generally means the land bounded by Canada, Mexico and the two oceans. In some rare cases, ‘World’ may also include some tiny islands like those of Hawaii or the United Kingdom. Now that we got it straight, yeah, Giants won the WORLD Series! Congratulations to them on conquering the whole wide world.
