দাদনি অগ্রিমের প্রেক্ষিতে জামিন জমা দেওয়া নিয়ে স্পর্শকাতর ছিল এবং সরাসরি বিরোধিতা করছিল কাশিমবাজারের দাদনি বণিকেরা এবং কোম্পানির সঙ্গে এই বিরোধ বহুকাল ধরে তারা টেনে নিয়ে চলতে পেরেছিল। ১৭৪৪ সালের ২৭ জানুয়ারি কাশিমবাজার কাউন্সিল লিখছে, ব্যবসায়ীদের অভিযোগ তারা ভারতজুড়ে নানান এলাকায়, নানান ব্যবসায়ীর সঙ্গে বহুকাল ধরেই ব্যবসাকর্ম করছে, having it known they had given security would destroy all such trade because those other merchants they did business with would look on it that they were not responsible without it। ব্যবসায়ীরা জামিন না দেওয়ার সিদ্ধান্তে স্থিরপ্রতিজ্ঞ থেকে কাউন্সিলকে বলল, they would not do business on such terms for even a report that security was demanded of them would hurt their credit abroad (Ibid., vol. 6, 27 Jan., 1744)। তবে শেষ পর্যন্ত কাশিমবাজার কাউন্সিল রেশম ব্যবসায়ীদের বাধ্য করল, However the Kasimbazar Council finally succeeded in bringing the silk merchants 'to be joined in security, three or four of them together for the Dadney they advance them (BPC, vol. 17, f. 27vo, 25 Feb. 17 44)।

কিন্তু দাদনির প্রেক্ষিতে জামিন জমা নেওয়ার বিষয়ে কোম্পানির সফলতা খুব সীমিত ছিল, কারণ প্রধান ব্যবসায়ী যারা সিল্ক-পিস গুডস নিয়ে ব্যবসা করত, তাদের জামিন দেওয়াতে পারে নি। বরং তারা জামিন দেওয়ার বদলে কোম্পানির সঙ্গে সম্পাদিত চুক্তি থেকে বেরিয়ে আসার ভাবনাও ভাবতে শুরু করে। ১৭৪৪ সালে কলকাতা কাউন্সিল লিখল, .. .it is impossible to get the quantity of silk piece-goods ordered, without employing many other merchants residing at Muxidabad and Sidabad and o'ther places some of whom being wealthy in good credit will not be persuaded to give any security, particuarly Ram Singh, Gosseram and Ramnaut Echenaut, without whose assistance they [Kasimbazar Council] fear·they shall fall very short in the article of Taffaties which the above-mentioned chiefly deal in and provide the very best and which the other merchants do not care to  meddle with as they are liable to occasion bad debts among the weavers .. :they absolutely refu~ed to give [security] as they are very substarltial people, and they apprehend no risque of any money entrusted with them, and in case they throw them out of Dadney, the Dutch and the French will gladly employ them .... বলাই বাহুল্য যে দাদনি অগ্রিমের প্রেক্ষিতে জামিন না দেওয়া সত্ত্বেও, কলকাতা কাউন্সিল কাশিমবাজারকে সেই সব ব্যবসায়ীদের সঙ্গে চুক্তি করতে অনুমতি দ্যায়।
