বিল গেটস ফাউন্ডেসন২, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation2

Bill Gates Dodges Questions on Why He Owns 500,000 Shares of Monsanto

by Anthony Gucciardi
Bill Gates is primarily known as the multi-billionaire who created Microsoft, the company behind the most popular computer operating system known as Windows. With this massive wealth, he has retired from leading Microsoft and now instead focuses his money and time on furthering genetically modified technology, geoengineering, experimental vaccinations, and preaching about how Monsanto is the answer to world hunger.
It should come as no surprise, then, that Gates owns 500,000 shares worth 23 million US dollars (or more) of Monsanto stock. The very same company that has been caught running slave rings in Argentina in which workers were forced to work 14+ hours a day while withholding payment, has used their massive finances to fund organizations that literally fake FDA quotes to support GMOs, and of course peddling through GMOs that have been linked to numerous health concerns.
This is not even taking into account the farmer suicides that occur around every 30 minutes due to Monsanto’s failing GMO crop yield bankrupting small-time farmers in India’s notorious ‘suicide belt‘.

Bill Gates Funding Corporations Caught in Child Slave Rings

And if that’s not enough, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has even teamed up with Cargill to pump GMO soy into the third world. Cargill, of course, is the the 133 billion dollar corporation that also has been found in direct violation of human rights laws. Cargill was sued by the International Labor Rights Fund for trafficking children from Mali and forcing them to work on cocoa bean plantations for around 12 to 14 hours each day without pay, food, or sleep. The company even continues to purchase cotton from Uzbekistan, where it is well known that child slave labor is used in the cultivation.
Bill Gates himself even filmed commercials for Monsanto’s GMOs, propping them up as the ‘solution’ to world hunger despite even the United Nations admitting that GMOs cannot fight hunger as effectively as traditional farming. Headed by an entity known as the International Assessment of Agricultural Knowledge, Science and Technology for Development (IAASTD), a team of 900 scientists and researchers studied the issue of world hunger. The results of the major study were very simple: 900 scientists agreed that GMO crops were not the answer to the world hunger, and revealed this in 2008 — long before Bill Gates began claiming that GMOs were the answer while ignoring this readily available information.
Even the Union of Concerned Scientists examined the true yield of GMO crops, only to find that the GM crops do not produce increased yields over the long run — despite their excessive cost and extreme danger to health and environment. The lack of scientific support behind the GMO crops was so startling to the Union that they documented all the details in a 2009 report entitled ”Failure to Yield.”
Watchdog groups have criticized Gates’ support of these corporations after finding out about his massive funding. One such group, a part of the Community Alliance for Global Justice, stated:
“Monsanto has a history of blatant disregard for the interests and well being of small farmers around the world… [This] casts serious doubt on the foundation’s heavy funding of agricultural development in Africa…”
So why is Bill Gates, a man who is propped up by the media as an angel of philanthropy, pumping millions (if not billions) into these operations? And why is he claiming that GMOs can fight world hunger when we know this is not true due to decreased yields and other problems?

I Asked Bill Gates Why

In a unique opportunity to ask Bill Gates himself why he has purchased 500,000 shares of Monsanto behind the scenes (expelled into the news thanks to tax information) and teamed up with Cargill to expand GMOs worldwide, myself and several others asked him ourselves.

Yesterday Gates opened himself up to questions from online users via the social sharing site Reddit, in which he posted an open interview of sorts known as an ‘Ask me Anything’ post. This is essentially an invitation for questions that the subject will answer via text. While I had a large number of questions for Gates, such as if he actually eats GMOs himself, I simplyasked him:
“Why did you buy 500,000 shares of Monsanto stock?”
Unsurprisingly, the comment received a large degree of feedback. Users asked Gates to please respond to the question, and several others posed similar variations to Gates that all went unanswered (as to be expected). Some quotes from users in response to my question included:
User Lawfairy replied: “I wish he’d answered this one — to me, this is one of the most curious things about Mr. Gates, whom I otherwise respect as one of the foremost humanists of our generation… Mr. Gates’ relationship with Monsanto is, in my mind, simultaneously the most morally troubling thing about Mr. Gates”
Another user posted (with links intact): “Would you be willing to take some time to give us some insight with your investments in Monsanto? Despite having the headlines of “ending world hunger”, this company has done some despicable things in the past 100 years and I don’t believe they have the public’s best interest in mind. Having a single company or entity trying to “control”, “manipulate” or “own” the world’s food supply, in my opinion, is not the way to end world hunger.”
Another user answered with: “Because he is supporting the Bilderberg group!”
None of these received a response nor did the many others I could not include in this article. The answer, it seems, is to bring this topic to the mainstream. The very same mainstream that seems to think Bill Gates is some sort of philanthropic super star that can do no evil. I am opposed to all wrongdoing at every level, and I find it absolutely disturbing that someone funding the GMO agenda and slave-labor-linked companies has been met with applause.

Bill Gates Foundation’s support of Monsanto, ক্ষুধা তাড়ানোর ছুতোয় মনসান্তোর লাভের গুড়ে বিনিয়োগ দান করলেন বিল গেটস ফাউন্ডেসন

Last month, more than 2,000 people in Seattle joined protestors in more than 400 cities and 50 countries to collectively speak out against Monsanto, one of the world’s biggest agricultural biotechnology corporations, which specializes in genetically engineered (GE) seeds. But in a sense, those people were also protesting the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, since the world’s wealthiest nonprofit supports the biotech giant.
This is an unfortunate connection that perpetuates hunger around the globe.
From its beginning, Monsanto has been responsible for manufacturing and distributing highly toxic and carcinogenic products such as polychlorinated biphenyls, known as PCBs, and Agent Orange. In the 1940s Monsanto was one of 15 companies that produced the insecticide DDT, the use of which was criticized in Rachel Carson’s landmark environmental book “Silent Spring.” In 1972, U.S. officials banned the agricultural use of DDT.
Now, the company claims it has left chemical manufacturing behind and is exclusively focused on sustainable solutions to food production promoting the use of GE corn, soy, cotton and other crops. And this is where the Gates Foundation comes in: A financial donor to Monsanto, the Gates Foundation advocates for the use of GE foods to solve hunger in developing countries. However, history has shown that instead of eradicating hunger, GE seeds perpetuate food insecurity.
For instance, Monsanto’s GE corn is modified so that Roundup, the company’s herbicide, can be sprayed on the crop to kill weeds while leaving the corn plants intact. Those crops with poisonous residue are later ingested by humans and animals. Plus, the use of Roundup has resulted in new strains of super weeds that are now resistant to the herbicide. Moreover, the company’s GE seeds require synthetic fertilizer, which must be purchased each year from Monsanto or its subsidiaries. This completely contradicts any claims Monsanto makes about promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
Monsanto’s aggressive tactics also hurt many farmers. Traditionally, farmers have saved seeds and, over generations, developed seeds to fit their local conditions. The corporation’s strict contractual agreements prohibit farmers from saving GE seeds and require them to purchase new seeds every year.
In India, Monsanto’s insect-repellant Bt cotton wreaked havoc on that country’s farmers. Those seeds cost twice as much as conventional ones and require greater inputs of water and costly herbicides and pesticides. Unable to escape the debt treadmill, thousands of Indian farmers committed suicide.
In Haiti, Monsanto donated $4 million worth of hybrid fruits and vegetables to farmers after the destructive 2010 earthquakes. But because hybrid seeds cannot reproduce the same traits year after year, farmers were obligated to continue purchasing the same costly seeds and maintain them with expensive chemicals.
Closer to home, hundreds of North American farmers have been sued for violating the company’s technology licensing agreement. Farmers whose fields had been contaminated with Monsanto’s GE seeds by neighbors’ plots have been taken to court and ordered to pay thousands of dollars for patent infringement. In May, news agencies reported Monsanto’s unapproved, experimental GE wheat had infiltrated an 80-acre field in Oregon; the company called the altered wheat “suspicious.”
These are just a few examples of how Monsanto practices its business. But this seems lost on the Gates Foundation, which has a goal to “reduce hunger and poverty … by increasing agricultural productivity in a sustainable way.” The nonprofit’s continued investment and support of Monsanto’s profit-driven, anti-farmer agenda runs counter to increasing global food security.
There are solutions for small farmers here and in poorer countries. Numerous reports from nonprofit, governmental and international organizations have concluded that food can be produced sustainably by bringing ecological principles to agriculture through a practice known as agroecology. The practice supports small-scale, traditional methods of farming and promotes crop diversity over a single-food crop, often referred to as a monoculture. Practicing agroecology also enables farmers to become independent and self-sufficient producers of natural, healthy foods.
Industrial agriculture continues to fall short of feeding the world but provides tremendous financial gains to Monsanto’s shareholders. It’s a shame the Gates Foundation, which many consider a local leading light, can’t see this. Until Monsanto and the Gates Foundation realize that sustainable agriculture, not GE seeds, is the solution to feed the world, many people around the globe will remain hungry.

Criminal prosecution of Mahyco for biopiracy revived

The firm genetically modified local varieties of eggplant without approvals
Mahyco, the promoter company for Bt Brinjal could be in for more trouble than just the long-standing moratorium on its product. The case for criminal prosecution of its officials for biopiracy has been revived with the Karnataka High Court dismissing a petition to stay the prosecution on October 11.
The National Biodiversity Board (NBA) and the Karnataka Biodiversity Board (KBB) filed a case for criminal prosecution of 13 individuals, including some top management officials of Mahyco or Maharashtra Hybrid Seeds Co. Limited which is partly owned by Monsanto, for biopiracy. The authorities complained in 2012 that the company along with others had genetically modified local varieties of eggplant without the mandatory approvals and then laid illegal proprietary claim to the genetically modified seeds. In other words, they were accused of biopiracy under the Biodiversity Act 2002.
The NBA and the KBB said that Mahyco entered into an agreement with the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad (UAS) for sub-licensing the Bt gene in local varieties of eggplants and further breeding of these without the mandatory approval of the NBA. It further said that the UAS in collusion with Mahyco and Sathguru Management Consultants Private Limited had carried out breeding to achieve genetic modification of India’s biological resources without permission.
The two government regulatory bodies explained how the alleged illegality had been made evident in the agreements between Mahyco, Sathguru — a consultancy firm and the University of Agricultural Sciences. “Mahyco technology (which is the eggplant containing the Bt gene that will be backcrossed with local varieties provided by the UAS) and Monsanto’s technology (which is the Bt Gene itself) is incorporated into local varieties, these varieties become ‘licensed domestic eggplant products’ and therefore providing Monsanto and Mahyco intellectual property resources that can restrict any making, using or selling of these licensed domestic eggplant products.”
Violation of Biodiversity Act
The agencies went on to say, “This seems to be [an] astonishingly wide intellectual property claim over local varieties provided by the UAS which Mahyco will backcross with their Bt Brinjal possibly violating the Biodiversity Act.”
The complaint listed the vice-chancellor, Registrar and former vice-chancellor of UAS as accused. It listed the managing director, deputy managing director and two directors of the Mahyco as co-accused and named the Founder-director and two directors of Sathguru Management Consultants Private Limited alongside.
The entire story of biopiracy began with a compliant made by Environment Support Group, a Bangalore-based NGO as far back as 2010 when the controversy over commercial release of Bt Brinjal was hitting headlines. But, the authorities dithered for two years even after investigating and concluding that there was a clear case of biopiracy involved. It was only when Environment Support Group, seeing inaction by the government, filed a PIL in the Karnataka High Court in 2012 that the authorities finally filed charges against the accused in November 2012.
The Chief Judicial Magistrate of Dharwad issued summons against the accused but the summons could only be served on the university officials with the police claiming it could not ascertain the addresses of the private entities. Before the summons could again be re-served on the representatives of the two private entities, an ex-parte stay was granted against the criminal proceedings by the Dharwad Bench of Karnataka High Court on January 3, 2013. The stay was contested by the two government bodies — the NBA and the KBB — and the case was finally dismissed on October 11, 2013. This has now reinstituted the original case of NBA and KBB against the accused.
A source at KBB, Bengaluru speaking to The Hindu said, “We are aware of the dismissal of the petition by some accused but we are yet to receive the orders officially. Once we do get them we shall move on the case.”
Another senior official in the Union Environment and Forests Ministry told The Hindu that the case was being now monitored at the highest levels in the Ministry and instructions were likely to be soon sent to the NBA on it.

Monsanto and Xe (Acadami)

A couple of weeks ago, we cross-posted an article from the website Political Blind Spot about Monsanto and Blackwater. While the article does contain many unsettling facts about the collaboration between the two organizations, it has been brought to our attention that it makes claims that are not backed up by any clear, concrete evidence.
We have looked at other articles “debunking” the story. They also raise good points, but some have holes in them. For instance, Democratic Underground claims that Monsanto is a publicly traded firm, and would have to be transparent about its ownership. Cargill is also publicly traded, and owns subsidiaries all over the world in order to avoid “barriers to trade.” DU also claims that Monsanto have no common directors with Xe (Acadami)—mergers and acquisitions do not require such corporate intimacy. While the two corporations are collaborators, two arms in the same body of militarization, there is still no evidence to suggest that they exist as one-in-the-same organization.
After checking over the article again, we have come to the following conclusions:
1) The evidence linking Xe (Acadami) to Monsanto is substantive, but does not prove the direct financial takeover that the article implies.
2) The indirect links, both financial and political, between Monsanto and Xe (Acadami) are tenable, and do create some space for speculation. Within that space, however, it is crucial to articulate the truth in connection with the facts as we know them. It is irresponsible to make speculative claims and pass them off as the truth.
3) When thinking about the top 1%, it is easy enough to create speculative links between any two multinational corporations, their boards of directors, CEOs, political powers, and so on. Playing “6 degrees of separation” can unveil very important networks; however Monsanto and Xe (Acadami) have ties that do not require speculative thinking—the article notes the two companies’ collaborative work through the militarization of Africa, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the New Alliance for Food Security and Nutrition.
The article that we published appears, then, in the speculative milieu, but not without some rational basis. The chief source of consideration lies in the financial ties between Xe (Acadami) and its current buyers. In the final analysis, we do not agree that the author makes a definitive connection that proves its claims, and we appreciate the feedback we’ve received, which is vital to the process of testing and disproving hypotheses, offering new ones, accepting some of the outcomes, and so on.
Chevron, the Walt Disney Company, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and banking giants Deutsche Bank and Barclays all have received services from Xe (Acadami) over the last few years. Deutsche Bank, notably, foreclosed on 2,000 properties in 4 years in Los Angeles alone—their alliances with Monsanto and Xe (Acadami) should lead us to raise questions. Chevron recently gained access to activists’ email records dating back 9 years—we are also very concerned about their ties with Xe (Acadami). Focusing on Monsanto is important, but we also need to expand our scope if we are going to fully understand the interlocking parts of militarization.
Therefore, we encourage debate about this piece, more analyses about this issue, and appreciate your readership of the EF! Journal and Newswire, where these notions can be fully fleshed out and given a proper format for vetting.

Did Monsanto Actually Buy the BLACKWATER Mercenary Group?

A report by Jeremy Scahill in The Nation revealed that the largest mercenary army in the world, Blackwater (later called Xe Services and more recently “Academi”) clandestine intelligence services was sold to the multinational Monsanto. Blackwater was renamed in 2009 after becoming famous in the world with numerous reports of abuses in Iraq, including massacres of civilians. It remains the largest private contractor of the U.S. Department of State “security services,” that practices state terrorism by giving the government the opportunity to deny it.
Many military and former CIA officers work for Blackwater or related companies created to divert attention from their bad reputation and make more profit selling their nefarious services-ranging from information and intelligence to infiltration, political lobbying and paramilitary training – for other governments, banks and multinational corporations. According to Scahill, business with multinationals, like Monsanto, Chevron, and financial giants such as Barclays and Deutsche Bank, are channeled through two companies owned by Erik Prince, owner of Blackwater: Total Intelligence Solutions and Terrorism Research Center. These officers and directors share Blackwater.
One of them, Cofer Black, known for his brutality as one of the directors of the CIA, was the one who made contact with Monsanto in 2008 as director of Total Intelligence, entering into the contract with the company to spy on and infiltrate organizations of animal rights activists, anti-GM and other dirty activities of the biotech giant.
Contacted by Scahill, the Monsanto executive Kevin Wilson declined to comment, but later confirmed to The Nation that they had hired Total Intelligence in 2008 and 2009, according to Monsanto only to keep track of “public disclosure” of its opponents. He also said that Total Intelligence was a “totally separate entity from Blackwater.”
However, Scahill has copies of emails from Cofer Black after the meeting with Wilson for Monsanto, where he explains to other former CIA agents, using their Blackwater e-mails, that the discussion with Wilson was that Total Intelligence had become “Monsanto’s intelligence arm,” spying on activists and other actions, including “our people to legally integrate these groups.” Total Intelligence Monsanto paid $ 127,000 in 2008 and $ 105,000 in 2009.
No wonder that a company engaged in the “science of death” as Monsanto, which has been dedicated from the outset to produce toxic poisons spilling from Agent Orange to PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls), pesticides, hormones and genetically modified seeds, is associated with another company of thugs.
Almost simultaneously with the publication of this article in The Nation, the Via Campesina reported the purchase of 500,000 shares of Monsanto, for more than $23 million by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which with this action completed the outing of the mask of “philanthropy.” Another association that is not surprising.
It is a marriage between the two most brutal monopolies in the history of industrialism: Bill Gates controls more than 90 percent of the market share of proprietary computing and Monsanto about 90 percent of the global transgenic seed market and most global commercial seed. There does not exist in any other industrial sector monopolies so vast, whose very existence is a negation of the vaunted principle of “market competition” of capitalism. Both Gates and Monsanto are very aggressive in defending their ill-gotten monopolies.
Although Bill Gates might try to say that the Foundation is not linked to his business, all it proves is the opposite: most of their donations end up favoring the commercial investments of the tycoon, not really “donating” anything, but instead of paying taxes to the state coffers, he invests his profits in where it is favorable to him economically, including propaganda from their supposed good intentions. On the contrary, their “donations” finance projects as destructive as geoengineering or replacement of natural community medicines for high-tech patented medicines in the poorest areas of the world. What a coincidence, former Secretary of Health Julio Frenk and Ernesto Zedillo are advisers of the Foundation.
Like Monsanto, Gates is also engaged in trying to destroy rural farming worldwide, mainly through the “Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa” (AGRA). It works as a Trojan horse to deprive poor African farmers of their traditional seeds, replacing them with the seeds of their companies first, finally by genetically modified (GM). To this end, the Foundation hired Robert Horsch in 2006, the director of Monsanto. Now Gates, airing major profits, went straight to the source.
Blackwater, Monsanto and Gates are three sides of the same figure: the war machine on the planet and most people who inhabit it, are peasants, indigenous communities, people who want to share information and knowledge or any other who does not want to be in the aegis of profit and the destructiveness of capitalism.

So why were so many media outlets, editorialists and bloggers clamoring to say that the purchase was a “hoax”?
That’s a good question. The more cynical among us might suspect a financial incentive from Monsanto itself to such “journalists.” Monsanto indeed has hired a public relations team to seek out critical blogs and websites reporting on their crimes against both Nature and humankind. We have seen this first hand in comments on PoliticalBlindSpot.com articles on Monsanto. It is not beyond the realm of possibilities that they have created blogs where seemingly legitimate authors write organic thoughts, observations and rebuttals. The public presumes these are real-world people, when in fact they are working PR for the company.
But the core argument of those who claim that the Monsanto purchase of Blackwater is not true lies in the fact that we can only officially document Blackwater being hired by Monsanto for years. Immediately following this extensive work that Blackwater did for Monsanto, they sold the company. Because of the nature of how the sale transpired, it is impossible to document who the sale was to. The obvious and logical conclusion to insiders (particularly in the private security industry), however, is that the sale was in fact to Monsanto who had been employing the group.
Xe (now Academi) has, indeed, been purchased, and while there’s no way of DOCUMENTING who the new owners really are, the logical conclusion would be that Monsanto, who had been employing them prior to the sale are the new owners. This, of course, would also make sense of the secrecy surrounding the deal and the identity of the new owners. The company was bought out by private investors via private equity companies that don’t have to divulge any of their dealings, with Bank of America providing much of the $200 million in financing for the deal.
New York-based USTC Holdings said it will acquire Xe and its core operating subsidiaries, but did not disclose the price or terms of the agreement in a statement.
USTC Holdings is an investor consortium led by private equity firms Forte Capital Advisors and Manhattan Partners.
Various researchers have been trying to document the buy via a paper trail, but so far without much luck. That, of course, is the point…
Keeping it private
One thing that is known: Forte Capital Advisors is the baby of long-time Blackwater ally Jason De Yonker:
DeYonker has unique experience with the Company that dates back to its founding in the late 1990s. He advised the Company through development of its early business plan and expansion of the Moyock training facility as well as supporting negotiations of its first training contracts with U.S. government agencies. Between 1998 and 2002, Mr. DeYonker co-managed Xe founder, Erik Prince’s family office which included management of Mr. Prince’s portfolio companies.
What does that mean? The guy is a glorified accountant.
Prior to joining Forté, Jason co-managed a +$100 million family office. In addition to actively managing various platform companies, Jason was a part of the executive team responsible for family wealth management.
Jason has spent the last 18 years advising on various mergers, acquistions and divestitures with an aggregate transaction value greater than $1 billion. Jason’s experience include: transaction advisory, portfolio management, real estate development, venture capital and cross border dealings. Jason began his career with Arthur Andersen Corporate Finance Group, and was a Director in Deloitte & Touche’s Corporate Finance Group. He also was the Finance Director for the West Family Trust, a venture capital group focused on cross-border transactons.
Jason recieved a Bachelor of Business Administration, with a concentration in finance and accounting, from the Univeristy of Michigan.
The other investor? It looks like the very junior partner will be Manhattan Partners, a private equity company – a shop that gathers money from anonymous rich investors and uses the pool of cash to  leverage buyouts of big companies they wouldn’t have been able to take over on their own.
Manhattan Partners invests in “compelling growth and special situation transactions,” but this will be their first known foray into defense industries – WarIsBusiness.com reports (via Spencer Ackerman):
Manhattan Growth Partners is led by Dean Bosacki and Patrick McBride. Bosacki serves on the board of “the world’s largest commencement photography business,” among other companies. Manhattan Growth Partners, which describes itself as “a progressive thinking private equity firm,” also holds a majority interest in Hugo Naturals, a line of organic, vegan-friendly soaps, lotions, scents and soy candles sold at Whole Foods and other greenwashed retailers.
At the end of the day, it would seem the logical conclusion is that in spite of arguments to the contrary, Monsanto in fact did by the Blackwater mercenary group… or at least the renamed Blackwater Xe (now Academi) Services group. The big question now is why?

Surprised? Monsanto Openly Wrote Own Monsanto Protection Act

By: Anthony Gucciardi
It should come as no surprise to many of you to find out that Monsanto actually authored the wording of its own Monsanto Protection  Acthidden in the recently  passed and signedContinuing Resolution spending bill. How could a  major corporation write its own laws and regulations, you ask?
Quite frankly I think it’s important to understand that the entire Senate  passed the bill containing the Protection Act, but the politician who actually  gave Monsanto the pen in order to write their very own legislation is no others  than Roy Blunt — a Republican  Senator from Missouri. As the latest IB  Times article reveals, the Missouri politicianworked with Monsanto  to write the Monsanto Protection Act. This was confirmed by a New York  news report I will get to shortly.
As you probably know I do not play the political clown game of left versus  right, and instead highlight corruption and wrongdoing wherever it is found — regardless of party affiliation. In the case of Senator Blunt, he admits to  colluding with Monsanto, a corporation that has literallybeen  caught running ‘slave-like’ working conditions in which workers are unable  to leave or eat (among many worse misdeeds).
This is one of the most blatant offenses against the citizens of the United  States I’ve seen in a long time. A population that Blunt swore to serve. It’s  not for the United States public at all, and it’s a serious matter that I don’t  think is properly understood. The passing of this bill into law means thatMonsanto is now immune from federal courts regarding any  suspension or action on their crops that have been deemed to be dangerous to the  people (or the environment).
This means crops that were approved and later found to damage the environment  or the public will be immune from United States government action.  Theoretically, one million studies could find that Monsanto’s latest creation  was causing a massive cancer wave and under this law Monsanto could continue to  peddle the crop to the public. The federal courts would (or will) be helpless to  stop Monsanto, effectively giving Monsanto power over the entire branch of the  United States government. Food Democracy Now, a major activist organization that  organized signatures to fight the Monsanto Protection Act, described the  rider:
“The Monsanto Protection Act would force the USDA to allow continued planting  of any GMO crop under court review, essentially giving backdoor approval for any  new genetically engineered crops that could be potentially harmful to human  health or the environment.”
Sounds like a great idea, right?

Serving Corporations, Not People

Senator Roy Blunt and those who knowingly passed the Monsanto Protection Act  (including President Obama who signed it into law just last night) have chosen  to serve corporations over people. Ironic, really, as corporations legally are  people — a legal area commonly used to avoid real jail sentences for major CEOs  and executives who knowingly were involved with the deaths of consumers around  the world.
It’s sad, really. I read up on Senator Blunt, and he does seem to constantly  side with corporations over the public. Even on his Wikipedia  page one line reads that Blunt ”consistently sided with Big Oil and  other dirty polluters over a cleaner, more sustainable future.”I was even able  to find a quote by Blunt defending his decision to allow Monsanto to write its  own regulation through the Monsanto Protection Act. He told the NY Daily News in  defense of the Monsanto Protection Act and his relationship with the company in  writing the rider:
“What it says is if you plant a crop that is legal to plant when you plant  it, you get to harvest it.”
I think Blunt is confused over which ‘people’ he is serving. I created  this image to call Blunt out on his open decision to side with Monsanto over the  public:

You can contact Senator Blunt through his website  and let him know what you think about his decision to let Monsanto write its own  Protection Act. No longer can we sit idly by while corporate juggernauts like  Monsanto triumph over the people through swindling and deceit.Share  this article, the image, and publicly denounce all politicians willing to sell  their souls to Monsanto.

No Monsanto for Obama, ওবামার বাগানে মনসান্তো নিষিদ্ধ
