ভারতে জর্জ মোয়েরলিনএর ভ্রমণ দল
১৮৮৪, ১৮৮৫ এই দুই বছর জর্জ মোয়েরলিন দুটি দল নিয়ে বিশ্বের নানান দেশে ঘুরতে বেরন। একটি যায় ইয়োরোপ এবং পূর্ব-ইয়োরোপ। ভারত, চিন, শ্রীলংকা এবং জাপানের ৮০০ ছবির মধ্যে কিছু বাছা ছবি নিয়ে একটি পুস্তক প্রকাশ করেন তিনি, যেখানে তার ভাবনা, ভ্রমণ কাহিনিও ছিল। সেই ছবির একাংশ এখানে তুলে ধরা হল।
George Moerlein and Party in India”
Mr. George Moerlein traveled around the world for pleasure, between 1884 and 1885 with two companions of similar disposition. The gentlemen visited Europe and Eastern Europe, but it was the Far East that held a special fascination - particularly India, China, Japan and Ceylon where they witnessed “strange sights and scenes.” Upon Moerlein’s return to the States he published a travel volume of his observations, illustrated with brightly colored chromolithographed plates described as “…carefully chosen from a collection of more than 800 original pictures collected during the journey and colored true to nature.
